MBB falls on the road to Immaculata

IMMACULATA, PA - The Penn State Berks men's basketball team had its bid for a three-game win streak come up short in a 99-77 setback on the road to Immaculata University in non-conference action on Wednesday night.

The Nittany Lions drop to 2-6 on the season, while the Mighty Macs now stand at 6-2 overall. Immaculata led 39-32 at halftime and took control of the game after outscoring Berks by a 26-12 margin over the first five minutes of the second period.

Andre Ballard stayed hot on offense, finishing with a game-high 24 points on 10-of-17 shooting from the floor and grabbed five rebounds. Darik Tannis-Harriet chipped in 13 points and a team-high seven boards, while Kai Davis and Matthew Gingerich (four steals) both added 12 points. Josh Mingledolph added eight points and Jaedon Mast had six.

Dinero Washington and Gregory Vlassopoulos led the Mighty Macs with 14 points each, while Dylan Crews and Tyler Tillery each added 11 points. Tillery pulled down a team-high eight rebounds and John Proctor followed with seven.

The Nittany Lions will travel to Penn College for an United East contest on Saturday, December 2 at 1 p.m.
