WBB earns win on the road over Valley Forge

PHOENIXVILLE, PA - The Penn State Berks women's basketball team picked up a 67-52 victory on the road over the University of Valley Forge in a non-conference tilt on Thursday night.

The Nittany Lions trailed by two points after the first quarter, but the visitors were able to rally back for a four point lead (31-27) heading into the halftime break. Berks took control of the game by outscoring the Patriots by a 24-13 margin, while UVF outscored Berks 13-12 in the final period.

Hailey Miller finished with a season-high 19 points to go with seven rebounds, two steals, and two assists. Mahala Ruffner finished the game with 14 points and nine rebounds, while Sam Hagenbush added 10 points and three boards. Ashlyen Clark stuffed the stat sheet with nine points, eight rebounds, six assists, and two steals, Liberty Stitzman added nine points and four rebounds.

Elizabeth Davis led the Patriots with 26 points, followed by Lucy Mauerman with 10 and Mariah Matthews with eight.

The Nittany Lions will host Cairn University on Monday, November 20 at 6 p.m.
