WBB falls to Widener on Day 2 of Tip-Off Tournament

GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA - The Penn State Berks women's basketball team was topped by Widener University, 79-37, on Day Two of the Gwynedd Mercy University Tip-Off Tournament on Saturday afternoon.

The Pride took a 44-17 lead into the halftime intermission and did not allow the Nittany Lions to get any closer the rest of the way.

Ashlyn Clark led the Nittany Lions with 12 points to go with six rebounds, two steals and an assist, while Liberty Stitzman followed with 10 points, three boards, and two steals. Hailey Miller added seven points, six rebounds, and three steals, Keyla Rivera chipped in four points and three rebounds. Mahala Ruffner pulled down a team-high eight rebounds, while Sam Hagenbush dished out a team-best two assists.

Jordan D'Ambrosio led the Pride with 13 points, while Mia Robbins chipped 12 and Mary McFillin added 11. McFillin recorded a team-high five assists, Avalynn Baer led Widener with six boards.

The Nittany Lions will host Bryn Mawr College on Tuesday, November 14 at 6 p.m.
