Harrisburg pulls away late against men's soccer

READING, PA - The Penn State Berks men's soccer team hung tough all night against Penn State Harrisburg, but the visitors came away with a 3-0 win in an United East contest on Tuesday night.

Berks drops to 2-10-3 on the season and finishes 1-5 in the United East, while Harrisburg ends the regular season 7-4-7 overall and 3-0-3 in the conference.

Play remained in the midfield throughout the bulk of the first half before Harrisburg was able to put one in the goal with a score at the 30:04 mark. The contest remained tight until Harrisburg pulled away with goals in the 66th and 69th minutes to put the game out of reach.

Ethan Brazier finished with three saves in goal for Berks, while Hossam Aly (one save) and Tyler Shearin combined on the shutout for Harrisburg.

Harrisburg outshot Berks by 15-4 margin (6-1 on goal) and held a 10-2 advantage on corner kicks.

Berks will play in the opening round of the United East Tournament on Saturday, October 28. They will await the rest of the conference to finish their league games before finding out who/where/when they will play.
