Volleyball sweeps Albright, 3-0

READING, PA - The Penn State Berks women's volleyball team picked up a 3-0 victory over Albright College in a non-conference contest on Monday night.

The Nittany Lions improved to 5-1 1on the season, while Albright dropped to 13-7 overall. Berks pulled away late for a 25-16 win in the first set, followed by wins of 25-19 and 25-20 to clinch the victory.

Diana Stoltzfus finished with a contest high 12 kills, while Katelyn Williams added 11 kills and Jordan Thompson had nine. Williams hauled in a game-high 20 digs, while Stoltzfus had 13, Libby Swoyer and Riley Kovach both had 11. Swoyer also added 39 assists and two aces, while Williams finished with three aces. Thompson continued her solid play at the net, finishing with four solo blocks and two block assists, Makenzie Shoop had two solo blocks and Williams assisted on two.

The Nittany Lions will travel to Maryland for a non-conference tri-match on Saturday, October 21. They will face host Hood College at 10 a.m., followed by Bridgewater College at 12 p.m.
