WBB falls to St. Mary's in home tilt

READING, PA - The Penn State Berks women's basketball team dropped a 73-47 decision at home to St. Mary's College in an United East contest on Friday night.

The Nittany Lions led 21-18 at the end of the first quarter, but the Seahawks rallied to take a 39-32 lead into the halftime break. Out of the intermission, SMC extend its lead to 17 points after three quarters and finished off the fourth on a 16-7 run to win 73-47.

Kayley Mattis came of the bench to notch the first double-double of her career after recording 13 points and 11 rebounds. Morgan Kline chipped in 11 points and six boards, while Hailey Miller had 10 points, eight rebounds, three steals, and three assists. Sam Hagenbush added five points and two rebounds, while Jalyn Hann added four points and nine assists.

Samantha Blaylock made six 3-pointers to finish with a game-high 24 points, while Tramarie Mobray had 10 points and seven steals. Stephanie Howell picked up a double-double with 10 points and a game-high 16 rebounds.

The Nittany Lions will host Gallaudet University in an United East contest on Saturday, January 21 at 1 p.m.
