WBB falls to SUNY Morrisville on the road

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. - The Penn State Berks women's basketball team dropped a 77-40 decision on the road to SUNY Morrisville in an United East contest on Tuesday evening.

The host Mustangs led 18-10 after the first period and took a 40-21 lead into the halftime intermission. Out of the break, Morrisville outscored Berks 22-4 in the third and the teams each scored 15 in the fourth.

Hailey Miller had nine points, four assists, and two rebounds, while Chenoa Bernhardt added eight points. Jalyn Hann had six points and six boards, Morgan Kline pulled down a team-high eight rebounds and Lyla Spencer had seven. Kayley Mattis, Sam Hagenbush, and Katie Davis all finished with five points.

Abby VandeWalker had a team-high 16 points, followed by Rachel Vieira with 15. Cara Walker recorded seven points, 12 rebounds, eight steals, and seven assists.

The Nittany Lions will host a pair of United East contests this weekend, beginning with St. Mary's College on Friday, January 20 at 5 p.m.
