MBB drops road tilt to SUNY Morrisville

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. - The Penn State Berks men's basketball team suffered an 85-73 setback on the road to SUNY Morrisville in an United East contest on Tuesday night.

The Nittany Lions trailed 34-29 at halftime, before jumping out to an 37-36 lead after Luke Collins knocked down a 3-pointer with 18:41 remaining in the second half. The teams exchanged leads before sitting deadlocked at 45-all with 14:06 to play. From there, the Mustangs took the lead and held on the rest of the way.

Jeff Lorah led the Nittany Lions with 17 points and three steals, while Josh Gardner chipped in 13 points and Collins added 11. Isaiah Cotten recorded nine points and six assists. Jaedon Mast and Kai Davis each had five points, followed by Thomas Mandell with four.

Jordan Coard led the Mustangs with 27 points and 11 rebounds, while Tron Smith added 16 points, 10 boards, four assists, and three steals.

The Nittany Lions will host St. Mary's College in an United East contest on Friday, January 20 at 7 p.m.
