Men's golf finishes fifth at United East Championship

WILLINGBORO, NJ - The Penn State Berks men's golf team close out the 2021-22 season by placing fifth out of eight teams at the United East Golf Championship on Sunday afternoon at Rancocas Golf Club. (Results)

Berks had a two-day score of 677 strokes, which trailed third place Penn College by three strokes (674) and fourth place Rutgers-Camden by two (675). Rosemont College, who led after day one, was the team champions with a two-day score of 638, followed by runner-up Penn State Harrisburg with 645 strokes. Penn State Abington (695), Lancaster Bible College (716), and Wilson College (803) rounded out the field.

Freshman Kolin Grogesky was the top finisher for Berks after carding a combined score of 168 to placed tied for 12th in the field of 40 golfers. Drew Morris followed in 17th place with his total of 170 strokes, followed by Trevor Dydo in 19th place with 172. Luke Jozwiak (176) followed in 24th place and Derek Jopp (178) placed 26th.
