Men's golf in second place after first day of United East Championship

WILLINGBORO, NJ - The Penn State Berks men's golf team sits in second place out of eight competing teams after the first day of the United East Championship hosted by Rutgers-Camden at the Rancocas Golf Club.

Rosemont College is in first place after collecting a team score of 313, followed by Berks (324 strokes) in second and Penn State Harrisburg (325 strokes) in third place. Penn State Abington (333), Rutgers-Camden (336) and Penn College (337) follow in the next three spots.

Trevor Dydo led the Nittany Lions after carding a 76 (+5) to sit in fourth place out of 40 golfers. Drew Morris carded an 80 (+9) to place tied for seventh, followed by Kolin Grogesky with an 81 to place 12th. Luke Jozwiak was the final golfer factoring into the team score, finishing with an 87 to sit tied for 21st.

The Nittany Lions will compete in the second day of the United East Championship on Sunday, April 24 at 8:30 a.m. The winner of the conference championship will earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Golf Championship.
