Men's golf places eighth at Muhlenberg Invitational

ALLENTOWN, PA - The Penn State Berks men's golf team placed eighth out of 16 teams at the Muhlenberg Spring Invitational on Monday afternoon at the Lehigh Country Club. (Results)

The Nittany Lions collected a team score of 327 strokes, which trailed fourth place Jefferson University by just five strokes (322). Dickinson College was the team champions with 297 strokes, followed by host Muhlenberg College with 315 strokes.

Derek Jopp had a season-best 79 (+9) strokes to lead Berks and finish tied for 15th out of 82 participating teams. Drew Morris trailed by Jopp by a stroke with an 80 (+10), which placed him tied for 20th. Trevor Dydo and Kolin Grogesky were both tied for 37th after carding an 84. Luke Jozwiak rounded out the Berks golfers, shooting an 87.

The Nittany Lions will face Albright College in a dual match on Saturday, April 16 at the Golden Oaks Golf Club.
