Women's basketball falls on the road to Keystone

LA PLUME, PA - The Penn State Berks women's basketball fell to Keystone College, 80-62, in a non-conference contest on Friday evening.

The Giants led by nine after the first quarter and took a 40-26 lead into the intermission. In the second half, Berks got as close at 14 down in the fourth quarter, but that is as close as they would get the rest of the way.

Lyla Spencer led the Nittany Lions with 18 points and eight rebounds. The senior guard finished 6-of-12 from the field and 2-of-4 from beyond the arc. Lekaiah Solomon recorded 15 points, six boards, and four steals, while Katie Davis chipped in seven points and three rebounds. Jalyn Hann and Kayley Mattis both finished with six points, Hailey Miller added four points, six assists, and four rebounds.

Riley Berry led the Giants with 27 points, followed by Renata Alberici had 13 points and nine boards.

The Nittany Lions return to action with a home game against Gwynedd Mercy University on Tuesday, November 29 at 6 p.m.
