Lorah nets career-high in setback to Bryn Athyn

BRYN ATHYN, PA - Jeff Lorah poured in a career-high 31 points, but it was not enough in an 89-78 setback on the road to Bryn Athyn College in non-conference action on Wednesday night.

The Nittany Lions drop to 1-3 overall, while Bryn Athyn moves to 1-0 on the season. Bryn Athyn took a 52-39 lead into the halftime break, but Berks battled back and pulled to within five points (70-65) with 7:11 left in regulation. The host Lions outscored Berks 19-13 down the stretch to earn the win.

Lorah was 11-of-18 from the field, including a season-best six 3-pointers made to finish with 31 points. In addition, Lorah recorded five rebounds and had one steal in 34 minutes of play. Darik Tannis-Harriet turned in a fantastic all-around performance, recording 11 points, 13 assists, seven boards, and three steals. The 13 assists is tied for the single-game program record, which was last accomplished by Dameon Nixon in 2016. Luke Collins knocked down three 3's to finish with nine points, followed by Hassan Koroma with seven. Isaiah Cotten had two points, 11 steals, and two blocked shots.

Jamal Canady Jr. led the Lions with 37 points, followed by Jaryn McCann with 20 and William Little with 12. McCann and Little tied for a game-high in rebounds with 13 each.

The Nittany Lions will travel to Cairn University for a non-conference contest on Monday, November 21 at 7 p.m.
