Women's soccer shuts out Morrisville in regular season finale

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. - The Penn State Berks women's soccer team closed out the regular season with a 5-0 victory over SUNY Morrisville in an United East contest on Saturday afternoon.

The Nittany Lions improved to 11-5-2 overall and 7-0-1 in the United East, while the Mustangs dropped to 4-10-1 on the season and 2-6 in the conference.

Sara Hathaway got the scoring started with a score at the 19:23 mark with an assist by Faith Wavershak. Hathaway tacked on two more goals in the second half and Diana Pon added one of her own. Emily Clapper, Adriana Lepera, and Hathaway each recorded an assist.

Morgan Bleyer made one save to record the shutout win in net, while Meaghan Miller finished with 16 saves for SUNY Morrisville.
