Nittany Lions sweep Manor on Senior Day

READING, PA - The Penn State Berks women's volleyball team defeated Manor College, 3-0, in a non-conference contest on Monday evening.

Prior to the start of the contest, the Nittany Lions honored Adriana Leon-Vazquez, Sarah Nichols, Julia Rathsam, and Cassie Shoupe with Senior Day recognition.

Berks won its season best seventh straight contest after winning by game scores of 25-3, 25-6, 25-5.

As a team, the Nittany Lions set the single-game school record with 36 service aces and the hitting percentage of .471 is the third best. Shoupe and Rathsam each had a career-high 10 aces, followed by Aubrey Hunt with six and Makenzie Shoop with four.

Diana Stoltzfus had a game-high six kills, followed by Nichols with five. Leon-Vazquez, Shoupe, and Hunt all finished with three kills. Rathsam dished out 18 assists, while Nichols recorded two.

The Nittany Lions will travel to Wilkes University for a non-conference contest on Tuesday, October 25 at 7 p.m.
