Volleyball sweeps Albright on the road

READING, PA - The Penn State Berks women's volleyball team defeated Albright College, 3-0, on the road in non-conference action on Monday evening.

The Nittany Lions improved to 12-8 overall, while the Lions drop to 10-10 on the year. Berks won by set scores of 25-14, 25-7, 25-20.

Cassie Shoupe and Aubrey Hunt tied for the game-high in kills with nine each, while Jordan Thompson and Makenzie Shoop both had six. Julia Rathsam recorded 31 assists and nine digs, while Riley Kovach had a contest-high 12 digs. The Nittany Lions racked up 12 service aces, with Shoupe and Diana Stoltzfus each tallying four aces. Sarah Nichols, Thompson, and Adriana Leon-Vazquez all had solo blocks.

The Nittany Lions will travel to Moravian University for a non-conference contest on Tuesday, October 18 at 7 p.m.
