Nittany Lions fall on the road to F&M

LANCASTER, PA - The Penn State Berks women's soccer team fell to Franklin & Marshall College, 5-0, in a non-conference contest on the road on Sunday afternoon.

The Nittany Lions, playing for the third time in four days and coming off of a double overtime draw with Moravian were not able to keep up with the Diplomats.

F&M scored four goals in the opening half and tacked on another score early in the second half. Sara Hathaway, Sarah Painton, and Violet O'Donald all managed shots, but not were able to beat the keeper for a goal.

Savannah McNeal finished the contest with nine saves, while Jackie O'Brien finished with one save.

The Nittany Lions will travel to Albright College for a non-conference contest on Saturday, September 11 at 7 p.m.
