Women's soccer and Albright finish in scoreless draw

READING, PA - After waiting out a scoreless draw in the men's soccer game, the Penn State Berks and Albright College women's soccer teams also went through 110 minutes of action without scoring a goal on Saturday evening.

The Nittany Lions maintained possession for the bulk of the contest, but could not find the back of the net. For the game, Berks outshot Albright by a 15-7 margin, including 9-4 in shots on goal and held a 7-1 advantage on corner kicks.

Savannah McNeal recorded the first shutout of her collegiate career after finishing with four saves, while her counterpart McKenna Levan had eight stops for Albright.

Sara Hathaway and Emily Clapper combined for 10 total shots, seven of which were on goal.

The Nittany Lions will host Dickinson College in a non-conference contest on Tuesday, September 14 at 7 p.m.
