Men's soccer falls to Arcadia on the road

GLENSIDE, PA - The Penn State Berks men's soccer fell to Arcadia University, 5-2, in a non-conference contest on Tuesday night.

The Nittany Lions cut their deficit to 3-2 early in the second half, but the Knights pulled away with goals in the 71st minute and 78th minute to secure the win.

Shane Gleason played a ball in to the box from the right sideline and Ethan Perloff in midair deflected inside the near post to even the game at 1-all at the 39:04 mark. The score was Perloff's first collegiate goal, while Gleason picked up his second assist of the season.

Gleason had a successful penalty kick attempt in the 51st minute to pull Berks within one goal of the hosts, but that is as close as they would get.

Jose Aparicio finished with four saves in net for Berks, while Arcadio keeper Jake Varrato had three stops.

The Nittany Lions will take on St. Mary's College in an United East Conference contest on Saturday, October 2 at 3 p.m.
