Volleyball sweeps Bryn Athyn

READING, PA - The Penn State Berks women's volleyball team won its third straight contest after defeating Bryn Athyn College, 3-0, in non-conference action on Monday evening.

The Nittany Lions won by game scores of 25-12, 25-16, 25-3 to clinch the victory.

Cassie Shoupe and Kayla Zelonka tied for the team lead in kills with seven a piece, while Abby Mattis, Adriana Leon-Vazquez, Makenzie Shoop, and Madison Wright all chipped in three kills.Julia Rathsam handed out 27 assists and had nine digs, which matched Marie Durkota for the team lead. Durkota also recorded a team-best seven service aces, followed by Natalia Perez with six.

As a team, the Nittany Lions racked up 32 kills and finished with a season-best .270 hitting percentage.

The Nittany Lions will host Neumann University in a non-conference contest on Wednesday, September 15 at 6 p.m.
