WBB falls on the road to Cedar Crest

ALLENTOWN, PA - The Penn State Berks women's basketball team suffered a 53-50 setback on the road to Cedar Crest College in non-conference action on Friday night.

The Nittany Lions took a 23-16 lead into the intermission, but Cedar Crest rallied for a 36-32 lead heading into the fourth quarter. Berks got to within two points on two occasions early in the period, but the Falcons held on for the win on their home court.

Katie Armstrong led the Nittany Lions with 22 points and six rebounds, while Lydia Cacciola chipped in 12 points and three boards. Sarah Painton finished with eight points in her collegiate basketball debut.

The Nittany Lions will host Bryn Mawr College in a non-conference contest on Tuesday, November 16. Fans will be admitted for free by bringing canned goods, other non-perishable food items, or by making a monetary donation.
