Men's soccer topped by Elizabethtown

ELIZABETHTOWN, PA - The Penn State Berks men's soccer team dropped a 4-0 decision on the road to Elizabethtown College in non-conference action at Ira R. Herr Field on Wednesday night.

The Blue Jays netted the first goal of the contest at the 18:44 mark of the first half and tacked on another score in the 38th. E-Town added a goal in the 65th minute and capped off the scoring with a tally in the 89th minute to earn the victory.

Jose Aparicio made four saves in net for Berks, while Kelvin Del Cid had four stops for E-Town. Mark Pirrone, Danny McGrody, and Ethan Perloff all recorded shots on target in the first half, while Shane Gleason put one on target in the second half.

The Blue Jays outshot Berks by a 15-9 (8-4 on goal) margin and held a 7-4 advantage on corner kicks.

The Nittany Lions will host Gallaudet University in an United East Conference contest on Saturday, October 9 at 1 p.m.
