Men's soccer falls on the road to Penn State Harrisburg

MIDDLETOWN, PA - The Penn State Berks men's soccer team suffered a 3-1 setback on the road to Penn State Harrisburg in an United East Conference contest on Saturday afternoon.

Berks drops to 3-12-1 on the season and 3-4 in the United East, while Harrisburg improves to 12-1-1 overall and 9-0 in the conference.

Jose Aparicio made five saves in the first half and the two teams went into the intermission in a scoreless deadlock.

In the second half, Harrisburg got on the board with a score at the 55:40 mark, then later tacked on a score in the 58th and 61st minutes. Shane Gleason scored his team-best 6th goal of the season with an unassisted goal at the 71st minute.

Aparicio made three more stops in the second half to finish with eight saves, while Nicholas Guglielmetti finished with one save.

The Nittany Lions will host Ursinus College in a non-conference contest on Wednesday, October 27 at 7 p.m.
