Men's golf closes out fall on high note

LIMERICK, PA - The Penn State Berks men's golf team closed out the fall portion of its schedule on a high note by placing fifth out 14 teams at the Knights Fall Invitational hosted by Arcadia University on Friday afternoon on the par-72 Turtle Creek Golf Course. (Results)

The Nittany Lions matched their top score of the fall with 324 strokes, which just edged Bloomsburg University (327) and Lebanon Valley College (328).Stevens Institute of Technology was first in the team standings with a 301, followed by host Arcadia with a 305. Cabrini University finished ahead of Berks at 3rd and 4th with two teams shooting a 310 and 320.

Drew Morris had his best round of the fall after carding a 74 (+2), which placed him tied for fourth out of 70 golfers. Trevor Dydo was tied for 14th after carding a 78, which was by far his best round of the season. Derek Jopp and Gunnar Wegscheider each shot an 86, which had them tied for 42nd. Luke Jozwiak rounded out the Berks golfers, finishing 63rd with a 96.
