Men's golf places ninth at Lebanon Valley Invitational

LEBANON, PA - The Penn State Berks men's golf team placed ninth out of 16 teams at the Lebanon Valley College Fall Invitational on the par-72, 6562 yard Lebanon Country Club on Monday afternoon. (Results)

The Nittany Lions collected a team score of 338 strokes, which placed them tied with Susquehanna University. Eastern University, Elizabethtown College, and Penn College finished all finished tied for sixth with 332 strokes. Cabrini University won the team championship with a score of 299 strokes.

Gunnar Wegscheider finished tied for 16th with an 81 (+9) after recording a pair of birdies and eight par. The freshman had a fairly even split, as he shot 41 on the front-nine and a 40 on the back. Drew Morris, who was tied for 21st,  was a stroke behind Wegscheider with an 82 (+10). Morris finished his round with two birdies and par on 10 holes.

Trevor Dydo carded an 86 to finish tied for 47th, followed by Rocco Giannangeli with an 89 to place tied for 54th. Kolin Grogesky rounded out the Berks golfers, shooting a 91 to place tied for 63rd.

The Nittany Lions will conclude the fall portion of its schedule with the Arcadia University Fall Invitational on Friday, October 22 at 12 p.m.
