WBB tops Wells for fifth straight win

AURORA, N.Y. - The Penn State Berks women's basketball team won its fifth straight game as they topped Wells College, 66-40, in a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) contest on Friday night.

The Nittany Lions, who improved to 14-5 overall and 10-5 in the NEAC, led 18-7 after the first quarter and held a 45-13 lead at halftime. In the second half, the Express outscored Berks by a 27-21 margin.

Kylie Herman and Katie Armstrong tied for the team-lead with 14 points each. Julia Bookwalter added eight points, followed by Nicole Kopcik with seven. Abbie Carr and Lex Schratt both finished with six points.

The Nittany Lions will finish off the regular season with a road game at Keuka College on Saturday, February 22 at 3 p.m.
