Men's soccer topped by Penn State Abington

ABINGTON, PA - The Penn State Berks men's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision on the road to Penn State Abington in a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) contest on Saturday afternoon.

Berks drops to 2-4-1 on the season and 1-1 in the NEAC, while Abington now sits at 2-3 overall and 1-1 in the conference.

The teams went into the halftime intermission in a scoreless tie, but Abington was able to get on the board with goals at the 52:22 mark and in the 62nd minute to earn the win.

Brenden Valverde, Ayden Lee, and Nate Nguyen all managed a pair of shots, but none were able to find the back of the net for Berks.

Carter Lam recorded three saves in goal in the first half and Jose Aparicio made one second half stop.

The Nittany Lions return to action with a home NEAC contest against Penn College on Wednesday, September 25 at 4 p.m.
