Women's soccer blanks Wells in regular season finale

READING, PA - The Penn State Berks women's soccer team closed out the regular season with an 11-0 victory over Wells College in a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) contest on Saturday afternoon.

The Nittany Lions (13-6, 11-0 NEAC) picked up their eighth straight shutout victory with the win today.

Alexis Schoener collected three goals to lead the offensive attack. Emily Clapper added two goals and two assists, while Karina Raykova matched her career-high with two goals scored. Megan Jardine had a goal and two assists, while Charlotte Pizzuto, JoJo Zolli, and Jess Viola all recorded one goal. Sara Hathaway and Lauren Korpics both had assists for Berks.

The Nittany Lions receive a first round bye and then will host the final four of the NEAC Championship on Saturday, November 9 and 10. Berks will play on Saturday, November 9 at 11:30 a.m. against the winner of Penn College and SUNY Poly.
