Women's basketball falls to McDaniel in tournament opener

WESTMINSTER, MD - The Penn State Berks women's basketball team fell to host McDaniel College, 83-52, in the opening round of the tip off tournament on Friday evening.

The Nittany Lions trailed 38-26 at the half and the Green Terror pulled away with a 30-7 edge in the third quarter.

Kaitlyn Armstrong led the Nittany Lions with 16 points, eight rebounds, three assists and two steals. Sam Brensinger added nine points, followed by Elise Paskowski with seven points.

Natalie Mehl had game-high 17 points, followed by Malorie Conroy and Hannah Zajac with 11 each.

The Nittany Lions play Thiel College on Saturday, November 16 at 4:30 p.m.
