Men's basketball drop road game to LBC

LANCASTER, PA - The Penn State Berks men's basketball team was topped on the road, 91-52, to Lancaster Bible College in a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) contest on Wednesday night at Horst Athletic Center.

The Nittany Lions trailed 35-22 at halftime, but Monty Farmer (six points) and Steve Luchansky (three points) powered a 9-0 run to begin the second half to cut the deficit to four points. The Chargers built its lead back up to double-digits, but Berks kept its deficit to 10 points (46-36) with 13:39 to play. LBC went on a 17-0 run from there to take control of the game and never looked back.

Latrell Carroll notched his seventh consecutive double-double and 10th of the season after a team-high 17 points and 13 rebounds. Farmer followed with 12 points, while Luchansky had 11 points, six boards, and three steals. Matt Seip rounded out the Nittany Lions scoring in double figures with 10 points to go along with six rebounds, five assists, and one steal.

Jordan Shewbridge finished with a game-high 22 points, followed by Benny Raymond with 20. Tyler Norris added 11 points, while Britton Beachy had nine points and eight assists.

The Nittany Lions will host the College of Saint Elizabeth in a NEAC contest on Saturday, January 19 at 3 p.m.
