Women's soccer cruises past SUNY Poly

READING, PA - The Penn State Berks women's soccer team returned to North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) play with a 12-0 victory over visiting SUNY Poly on Saturday afternoon.

The Nittany Lions improved to 5-3-1 overall and 5-0 in the NEAC, while the Wildcats fall to 1-6-1 on the season and 1-4 in league play.

Caitlin Golden notched 11 total points after chipping in a game-high four goals and three assists. Freshman Alexis Schoener and junior Karina Raykova both had the first multi-goal scoring games of their careers. Schoener tallied the first two games of the contest, while Raykova had a pair of first half goals less than one minute apart. Shelby Baker, Julia Green, and Emily Clapper all had one goal and one assist in the contest. ADARA ENRIQUE registered her first goal of the season with a strike in the first half. Megan Jardine recorded two assists, while Charlotte Pizzuto, Alexa Lopez, and Ryann Barreto all had one.'

Bristol Pizzuto made one save in the first half and combined with Rylee Milligan for a shutout victory.

The Nittany Lions will host SUNY Cobleskill on Sunday, September 30 at 12 p.m.
