WBB falls to Muhlenberg at Scotty Wood Tournament

ALLENTOWN, PA - The Penn State Berks women's basketball team fell to host Muhlenberg College, 64-39, in the first round of the Scotty Wood Tournament on Friday night at Memorial Hall.

The Nittany Lions trailed 43-15 at halftime before outscoring the Mules 24-21 in the second half, but the deficit was too much to overcome by that point.

Elise Paskowski led the offense with nine points on 3-of-5 shooting from the floor to go along with three rebounds and one blocked shot. Sam Brensinger knocked down a pair of 3-points and finished with six points, followed by Abbie Carr with five points. Kaitlyn Armstrong had a contest-high 12 rebounds, followed by Raven-Monet Kemper with nine and Carr with eight. Armstrong, Brensinger, and Nicole Kopcik all dished out a pair of assists.

Mikaela McGarvey led the Mules with 11 points, while Ashley Polera added nine points and four assists.

The Nittany Lions will play Delaware Valley University in the consolation game on Saturday, November 17 at 1 p.m. Delaware Valley lost to William Paterson University, 62-48, earlier in the day on Friday.
