Men's basketball topped by Albright on the road

READING, PA - The Penn State Berks men's basketball team was topped on the road by Albright College, 80-49, in a non-conference contest on Wednesday night at the George C. Bollman Center.

The Nittany Lions trailed 35-22 at halftime and were holding pace to start the second half as the cut their deficit to 12 with 17:48 to play. Albright went on a 12-0 run over the next five minutes to build a comfortable lead and put the game out of reach.

Matt Seip knocked down three 3-pointers and finished with a team-high 13 points. Rene Alexandre followed with nine points to go along with a team-high six rebounds. Latrell Carroll, Robbie McHugh, and Monty Farmer all finished with six points, while Farmer also grabbed five boards and Carroll had four.

Jared Rappoport led Albright with 15 points, followed by Troy Smoot with 14 and Samuel Majekodunmi with 13. Deion Booker recorded a contest-best eight rebounds.

The Nittany Lions return to action with the Widener Tip-Off for Autism Awareness Tournament this weekend. They will face host Widener on Friday, November 16 at 8 p.m.
