Women's soccer plays Keuka to scoreless draw

KEUKA PARK, N.Y. - The Penn State Berks women's soccer team played to a 0-0 draw with Keuka College in a chilly North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) contest on Sunday afternoon at Jephson Field.

The Nittany Lions now sit at 11-3-2 overall and 9-0-1 in the NEAC, while the Wolves are 11-3-1 on the season and 9-0-1 in the conference.

Berks had possession of the ball throughout regulation and the extra periods, but were unable to find the back of the net. The Nittany Lions outshot Keuka by a 27-4 margin, including 11-4 in shots on goal. Berks had 10 shots in the first half and another 10 in the second. They later recorded five shots in the first overtime and two more in the second extra frame.

Bristol Pizzuto finished the match with four saves to record fourth shutout of the season. The Wolves received an 11 save effort out of goalkeeper Jessica Pegg.

In addition to controlling the shots taken, Berks held a 9-1 advantage in corner kicks for the game.

The Nittany Lions will travel to the University of Scranton for a non-conference contest on Tuesday night at 7 p.m.
