Women's volleyball swept at Wells

AURORA, N.Y. - The Penn State Berks women's volleyball team dropped a pair of 3-0 contests to host Wells College and Keuka College in North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) action on Saturday afternoon.

The Nittany Lions fall to 8-19 on the season and 5-5 in NEAC play.

Against the Express (14-10, 7-2 NEAC), Berks fell by scores of 25-18, 25-14, 25-18. Abbie Carr had a team-high seven kills, while also adding two solo blocks and a block assist. Jenna Plitnick chipped in six kills and a solo block. MacKenzie Reed handed out 16 assists and Madison Wojciechowski recorded nine digs. Ashley Morris recorded a season-best four service aces.

In the second game of the day, the Wolves (11-14, 7-3 NEAC) defeated Berks 25-22, 25-16, 25-20. Maddy Kessler and Madison Hetrick each had six kills, followed by Carr with five. Reed recorded 21 assists and two block assists. Wojciechowski notched 14 digs, followed by Plitnick with 10.

The Nittany Lions will host Moravian College on Tuesday, October 23 at 7 p.m. Prior to the game, the Nittany Lions will recognize Megan Lackman with Senior Day honors.
