Women's soccer shuts out Wells on the road

AURORA, N.Y. - The Penn State Berks women's soccer team picked up a 14-0 shutout victory over Wells College in a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) contest on Saturday afternoon.

The Nittany Lions won their seventh straight contest to improve to 11-3-1 overall and 9-0 in the NEAC, while the Express drop to 3-11 on the season and 2-7 in the conference.

Caitlin Golden led Berks with four goals and one assist, while Alexis Schoener notched her second hat-trick of the season and added an assist. Emily Clapper and JoJo Zolli both netted a pair of goals, with Clapper also recording an assist. Alexa Lopez, Jess Mandeville, and Ryann Barreto all chipped in one goal. Monica Pinel dished out a career-high and single-game school record five assists, followed by Julia Green, who matched a career-high with two assists.

Bristol Pizzuto and Rylee Milligan combined for the shutout in net.

The Nittany Lions will travel to Keuka College for a NEAC contest on Sunday, October 21 at 1 p.m.
