Volleyball picks up 3-0 sweep over Brandywine

MEDIA, PA - The Penn State Berks women's volleyball team earned a 3-0 victory over Penn State Brandywine on the road in a non-conference contest on Monday evening.

Berks won by scores of 25-23, 25-19, 25-23 to improve to 8-17 on the season. With the loss, Brandywine drops to 12-14 overall.

Abbie Carr finished with a team-high eight kills to go along with two solo blocks and a service ace. Megan Lackman, Maddy Kessler, Jenna Plitnick, and Abbie Tuel all chipped in seven kills. Kessler also added two solo blocks and recorded a block assists along with Tuel. Madison Wojciechowski recorded a contest-best 37 digs and three service aces, while Madison Hetrick followed with two aces. MacKenzie Reed dished out 34 assists to go along with four digs, two kills, and an ace.

The Nittany Lions will travel to upstate New York for a pair of important NEAC contests on Saturday, October 20. They will face host Wells College at 12 p.m., followed by Keuka College at 2 p.m.
