Men's basketball topped on the road by Abington

ABINGTON, PA - The Penn State Berks men's basketball team dropped its North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) tilt with Penn State Abington by a score of 95-76 on Tuesday evening.

Berks fell behind 48-27 at halftime and trailed by 23 points right out of the break. Later in the half, Berks went on a 20-7 run to cut its deficit to six points (69-63) with 8:02 left in regulation. That is as close as Berks would get as Abington went on a strong run of its own to close out the game.

Matt Seip connected on a season-high four 3-pointers en route to a team-high 18 points to go along with five assists and four rebounds. Dave Polisano chipped in 13 points, all of which came in the second half. Nelson Hine added 11 points and seven assists, while David DiMeo had nine points.

Jordan Lomax led Abington with 24 points and 20 boards, both of which were game-highs. Devin Hill and Jay Fitzgerald followed with 15 and 14 points, respectively.

The Nittany Lions will host Bryn Athyn College in a NEAC contest on Saturday, January 27 at 1 p.m.
