READING, PA - The Penn State Berks women's volleyball earned its first win of the season in dramatic fashion after turning an 0-2 deficit into a thrilling 3-2 victory over Immaculata University in Thursday evening's non-conference contest at Beaver Community Center.

The Nittany Lions (1-4) started out sloppy, falling 25-17 and 25-16 in the first two sets to put their backs against the wall. The third game was better for Berks after staying alive with a 25-19 win. In the fourth set, Berks started banging on all cylinders and picked up a convincing 25-15 win to square the match at 2-all and grab momentum going into the decisive fifth set. In the final set, the Nittany Lions jumped out to a 7-3 lead, but the Mighty Macs clawed back to cut the score to 9-6. From that point on the lead only grew for Berks and the match finally came to an end with a 15-9 margin in Berks' favor.

In the first three sets of the night, Berks combined on 32 kills while committing 28 errors for a .031 attack percentage. In the final two game, they turned it around with 22 kills against just seven errors for a .227 hitting percentage.
