Volleyball picks up non-conference sweep of Brandywine

READING, PA - The Penn State Berks women's volleyball picked up a 3-0 sweep over visiting Penn State Brandywine in a non-conference contest on Thursday evening at Beaver Community Center.

Berks improves to 4-7 on the year, while Brandywine drops to 6-2 overall. Berks earned the victory by set scores of 25-17, 25-14, 25-17.

Alexis Horst led the offensive attack with 12 kills, while committing no errors on 24 attacks. She notched the double-double after also grabbing 10 digs, which trailed MADISON WOJCIECHOWSKI's 17 for the team lead. Abbie Carr added six kills, while Amia Boone and Megan Lackman both had five. Morgan Schwartz handed out 28 assists and had a contest-high four service aces, while Laken Bankert notched a pair of aces.

Nicolette Napoleon had seven kills to lead Brandywine, while Brittany Civera had 15 digs and Sullivan Stark handed out 20 assists.

Berks will host Wilson College in a NEAC South Division contest on Saturday, September 23 at 11 a.m.
