Baseball falls on the road to Arcadia

PHILADELPHIA, PA - The Penn State Berks baseball team fell on the road, 12-3, to Arcadia University in a non-conference contest on Wednesday afternoon at Erny Field.

The Nittany Lions drop to 10-14 on the season, while the Knights improve to 24-8 overall.

Damian Mace went 2-for-2 with two runs batted in, while Toby Welk and Seth Endy both had a hit and scored a run. John McGarvey, Cory Fox, and Brandon Griesemer all recorded singles in the game.

Mitch Amenta tossed 3.0 innings of strong relief, allowing two unearned runs on three hits and striking out one. Jon Davis surrendered one hit in two scoreless innings of relief and Ben Wanner recorded two foul pop outs to the only two batters he faced to end the bottom of eighth.

The Nittany Lions return to action with a home NEAC doubleheader against Keuka College on Saturday, April 22 at 1 p.m.
