Women's basketball topped by Abington in home finale

READING, PA - The Penn State Berks women's basketball team dropped its final home game of the season, 101-58, to Penn State Abington in a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) South Division contest on Tuesday afternoon.

Berks now sits at 6-14 on the season and 6-12 in the NEAC, while Abington improves to 11-12 overall and 9-9 in the conference.

Deanna Daddona knocked down four 3-pointers and finished with a team-high 23 points to go along with eight rebounds and two steals. Sam Brensinger turned in a solid all-around performance with 11 points, five assists, five boards, and five steals. Britt Weiss tallied 11 points on 4-of-7 shooting from the floor. Elise Paskowski added six points and a team-high nine rebounds, while Sam Huggins had six points eight rebounds, two assists, and two steals.

Symantha Marrero led all scorers with 29 points, followed by Brittany Keyes with 26. Shayna Rodriguez notched a triple-double after recording 17 points, 13 assists, and 11 boards.

Berks will finish out the season with a trip to New York this weekend. They will face SUNY Cobleskill on Friday, February 17 at 5 p.m., followed by SUNY Polytechnic on Saturday, February 18 at 1 p.m.
