Men's basketball falls on the road to Millersville

MILLERSVILLE, PA - The Penn State Berks men's basketball team dropped its road contest, 114-68, to Division II opponent Millersville University in non-conference action at Pucillo Gymnasium on Tuesday evening.

The Nittany Lions hung with the Marauders through the first half of the opening period, trailing by eight (20-12). The Millersville offense picked up from there and they eventually carried a 59-32 advantage into the halftime break. In the second half, Berks was outscored by a 55-36 margin.

David DiMeo led the Nittany Lions with 13 points on 5-of-9 shooting from the floor. The sophomore guard also recorded six rebounds, three blocked shots, two steals, and two assists. Nelson Hine followed with 12 points and Dave Polisano added 11 to round out the Nittany Lions scoring in double figures. Micah Krauter, who chipped in nine points, tied DiMeo and Hine for the team lead in rebounds with six. Eric Stepnowski notched three boards and two blocked shots, while Robbie McHugh added five points and two rebounds.

Mark Perry led the Marauders with 32 to points to go along with seven steals, five boards, and two blocked shots. Marcus Adkison chipped in 15 points and Jordan Greene came off the bench to add 12 points.

The Nittany Lions will travel to Gallaudet University for a NEAC contest on Wednesday, November 29 at 5 p.m.
