Women's volleyball falls on the road to Moravian

BETHLEHEM, PA - The Penn State Berks women's volleyball team suffered a 3-0 setback on the road to Moravian College in a non-conference contest on Thursday night.

The Nittany Lions fall to 11-12 on the year, while Moravian improves to 16-14. The Greyhounds won the match by game scores of 25-18, 25-20, and 25-19.

Alexis Horst led the Nittany Lions with six kills, followed by Megan Lackman with five. Madison Wojciechowski notched 14 digs and Laken Bankert, who had 20 assists, followed with 10 digs. Abbie Carr finished with four block assists, while Maddy Kessler had two to go along with a pair of service aces.

The Nittany Lions will host a tri-match in their final action of the regular season on Saturday, October 28., which also happens to be a Pink Game for breast cancer awareness. Berks will host the College of Saint Elizabeth in a NEAC match at 10 a.m., followed by Shenandoah in non-conference action at 2 p.m.
