Women's soccer picks up NEAC win over Cazenovia

CAZENOVIA, N.Y. - The Penn State Berks women's soccer team picked up a 10-0 victory over Cazenovia College in a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) contest on Saturday afternoon at Christakos Field.

The Nittany Lions improve to 2-2 on the season and 2-0 in NEAC play, while Cazenovia falls to 2-4 on the year and 1-2 in the conference.

Brennan Moyer and Caitlin Golden led the offensive attack with two goals each. Lizzie Mummau and Dana Sarcinello both recorded a goal in the first half. Alexa Lopez, Kaylie Smucker, Nicole Brigante, and Keri Klimko all registered a score in the second half. Moyer, Lopez, Brigante, Karina Raykova, and Megan Jardine chipped record assists for the Nittany Lions.

Paige Elmy picked up the win in net, making two saves to earn the shutout.

The Nittany Lions will travel to Morrisville State College for a NEAC contest on Sunday, September 18 at 12 p.m.
