Women's soccer blanks Morrisville State

Box Score MORRISVILLE, N.Y. - The Penn State Berks women's soccer team won its third straight game after shutting out Morrisville State College, 7-0, in a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) contest on Sunday afternoon at Drake Field.

The Nittany Lions improve to 3-2 overall and 3-0 in the NEAC, while Morrisville State falls to 2-4-1 on the season and 1-3 in conference play.

Charlotte Pizzuto, Nicole Brigante, and Keri Klimko each recorded two goals. Pizzuto got the Nittany Lions on the board with her score at the 7:04 mark of the opening period. Dana Sarcinello recorded a goal and assisted on Brigante's score in the second half. Lizzie Mummau and Hannah Harkay also registered assists, while Mackenzie Fredricks assisted on both of Klimko's scores.

Paige Elmy and Kaylee Frapaul combined for the shutout in net. Frapaul made a save on the Mustangs lone shot on goal.

The Nittany Lions will host Dickinson College in a non-conference contest on Wednesday, September 21 at 7 p.m.
