Baseball falls on the road to York

YORK, PA - The Penn State Berks baseball team dropped its road contest to York College, 16-3, in a non-conference contest on Friday afternoon at Jaquet Field.

The Nittany Lions fall to 19-10 on the season, while the Spartans improve to 10-26-1.

John McGarvey led the offense by going 2-for-3 with aa double and a run batted in, while Keeanu Erb finished 2-for-3 with a double. Luke Erb recorded a double and scored a runs. Berks got on the board with a run in the first inning when Toby Welk and Austin Madeja successfully pulled off a first and third double steal.

Tyler Comport struck out four batters and allowed just one run in 3 1/3 innings of relieve.

The Nittany Lions will conclude the regular season with a NEAC doubleheader at Lancaster Bible College on Saturday, April 30 at 1 p.m.
