Men's basketball falls on the road to Gallaudet

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Penn State Berks men's basketball team dropped its regular season finale, 82-59, on th road to Gallaudet University in a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) contest on Saturday afternoon.

The Nittany Lions (8-16, 8-10 NEAC) finished as the No. 3 seed in the NEAC South Division and will again travel to the nation's capital for the quarterfinal round against No. 2 seed Gallaudet on Tuesday night.

Christian Burggraf finished with a team-high 14 points to go along with his six rebounds, four assists, and three steals. Nelson Hine chipped in 11 points, nine boards, three assists, three steals, and two blocked shots, while J.C. Keaton added a season-high 10 points on 4-of-6 shooting from the floor. Baba Waples recorded nine points, five rebounds, and handed out a contest-high and career best nine assists.

Raymond Nelson had a game-high 17 points to lead the Bison. Joshua McGriff recorded 15 points and 16 boards, while Trey Gordon added 15 points.

The winner of Tuesday's quarterfinal match between Berks and Gallaudet will then travel to tournament top seed Lancaster Bible College for the semifinal round next weekend.
