Women's basketball picks up road win at Wilson

CHAMBERSBURG, PA - The Penn State Berks women's basketball team picked up a 72-60 road win over Wilson College in a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) South Division contest on Friday evening.

The Nittany Lions jumped out to 10-point lead at the end of the first period and led by 19 at the intermission. The Phoenix cut away at their deficit in the third quarter to trail by 11 points, but Berks was able to hold them off in the final frame to earn the victory.

Deanna Daddona led the Nittany Lions with 21 points to go along with eight rebounds and two steals. Shanelle Koch notched her 29th double-double after recording 18 points and 13 boards, while also tallying three steals and two blocked shots. Cassidy Schultz had 15 points and seven boards, while Dakota Dawson had eight rebounds. Angie Russell came off the bench for nine points and six boards, while Mackenzie Huber added seven points and three steals.

Jordyn Day led the Phoenix with 24 points, followed by Ashley Henderson with 17. Morgan Wonders recorded a game-high 20 boards.

The Nittany Lions will wrap up the 2015-16 season with a game at Gallaudet University on Saturday, February 20 at 3 p.m.
