Nittany Lions fall on the road to DeSales

CENTER VALLEY, PA - The Penn State Berks men's basketball team fell on the road, 99-61, to DeSales University in a non-conference contest on Wednesday evening at Billera Hall Gymnasium.

The Nittany Lions (2-5) were down 20-19 with 9:57 remaining in the opening period, but the Bulldogs used 24-7 run to close out the half and take control of the contest.

Baba Waples and Darren Major tied for the team lead in points with 12 apiece, followed by Eli Adams with a season-high 10 points. Matt Thompson chipped in eight points, while Nelson Hine and Monte Stokes both added five. Waples notched his first double-double of his career after dishing out a career-best and contest-high 10 assists. Stokes pulled down a team-high eight rebounds and Thompson grabbed five.

Kuity Slanger led the Bulldogs (4-3) with 18 points to go along with eight boards and six assists, while Kewku Dawson-Amoah added 15 points and nine rebounds.

The Nittany Lions will travel for their final game before winter break with a NEAC contest at Lancaster Bible College on Friday, December 9 at 7:30 p.m.
